Welcome to a New School Year!

       I am the new Literacy Specialist.  I have taught Reading Writing Workshop for the past three years here at Urbana Middle.   I previously taught Reading Writing Workshop and Language Arts at Ballenger Creek Middle School. My undergraduate degree is from Towson State University and my gradutate degree in reading is from
Mc Daniel College. This is my 10th year teaching in Frederick County. I'm excited to begin a partnership with you and your child!
     My duties as Literacy Specialist include being a resource for teachers, coordinating  SRI reading testing, testing students for placement, and working with students who are participating in the Literacy Fair for Frederick County.
