7th Grade Science Teacher
Welcome to 7th Grade Science!!
Frederick County Science is organized into strands that carry the same theme through out your students three years of science instruction. These three strands are then broken into three modules per grade. In 7th grade, we will cover the Resource Management Module first that discusses the resources available on our planet. We, then will discuss Our Dynamic Planet which studies the many changes (geologically & physcially) of our Earth. The last Module to be discussed is the Vulnerability Module which examines how vulnerable living things are individually, collectively, and globally. Finally, throughtout the semester students will be challenged to make connections between units and to the real world. I will be teaching at UMS until the end of this school year. I have taught middle school science in Frederick County for 13 years and helped open UMS; I am currently working on finishing my graduate education while I am long-term subbing.
